About Me

Sharoma Scurry-Graves is a native of New York and spent her high school years in Georgia. She graduated from Grambling State University in 2011, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. Later, she attended the University of Houston, receiving a Master of Social Work.
 
Mrs. Scurry-Graves is a wife, mom, entrepreneur, and remains active in the community. She is member of Gamma Sigma Sigma National Service Sorority, Inc., Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., and Grambling University National Alumni Association. 

Sharoma has been awarded the Jane Addams Award given by the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work Class of 2013. She also earned the Grambling University National Alumni Association Distinguished Alumni Award and Outstanding Committee Member Award. She is the proud recipient of the Gamma Sigma Sigma National Service Sorority Inc. Rosalie Powell Award for National Outstanding Alumni.

Sharoma strives to live a life centered in God, family, and service. The vision for her life is anchored in a quote by Dr. Maya Angelou, “Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.”
