Collaborative for Children
Serving children 0-4 years old in Harris County
This organization focuses on free programs that provide families access to early childhood education. In their mobile classroom, Collab-Lab, families connect with specialists to assure kids are ready for school. It services Acres Homes, Greenspoint, and Galena Park. Spring ISD Smart Start
Serves children 18 months-4 years old zoned to Spring ISD
Smart Start is an early childhood outreach program for families in Spring ISD. This free program is offered in English and Spanish. Families meet with a home instructor weekly for one-on-one instruction, focused on child development. Lessons are curriculum-based and individualized. In addition, the program hosts workshops and group events throughout the year.
Northwest Assistance Ministries
Serves all ages in Northwest Harris County
Affectionally known as NAM, this organization offers an array of services. Service area expands from I-10 E to 59, focusing on families in Northwest Houston. Services include thrift store, free therapy, rental assistance, vocational training center, family violence center, senior center, health services, meals on wheels for seniors, housing center, and veterans services. Some services are available in English and Spanish.
Humble Area Assistance Ministries
Serves all ages in 77044, 77302, 77306, 77336, 77338, 77339, 77345, 77346, 77347, 77357, 77365, 77396, 77532, and 77372
Humble Area Assistance Ministries (HAAM) is an interfaith organization that helps community residents in crisis by providing essential resources to move toward self-sufficiency. Some of HAAM services include food programs, employment services, rental assistances, senior services, therapy, disaster recovery, and more.
